Sesame Chicken / Til ka Chicken

Sesame Chicken is a mouth watering dish, very delicious. It is served as starter in marriages or parties. Very famous among caterers yet very simple to make. It is crispy from outside and juicy inside. It adds very extraordinary look to your menu but is a hassle-free recipe to make. It can be made in just two simple steps, marination and deep frying.   1. Take a large bowl and marinate the chicken by adding, salt, gingergarlic paste, soya sauce, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, corn flour, egg, sesame seeds and lemon juice. Mix well and refrigerate it for about 2 hours.
  2. Now heat oil and deep fry the chicken on a constant medium flame until it is cooked thoroughly, this may take about 5-8 minutes for every batch of chicken. Once cooked serve hot with ketchup or garlic sauce.
Recipe Notes
  1. If you are in a hurry then marinate the chicken for atleast half an hour before frying. Keep it in freezer for marination, this will  ensure quick marination.
  2. It is  optional to add little red food color while marinating chicken if you like it, this makes chiken reddish upon frying.
  3. Always fry chicken on constant medium flame, starting from heating the oil to frying chicken, the oil must be on constant flame. This prevents chicken from soaking excess oil and this also allows the chicken to cook thoroughly inside-out.
  4. If you prefer to use boneless chicken, then it can be cooked on a high flame but that too only if your chicken pieces are not too large, they must not be more than 3 inch in size for this to be cooked on high flame. Cooking large pieces on high flame will leave them raw inside.
